![]() My family and I moved to the St. Joe area in 1992 due to a career change. I had many career opportunities throughout the Midwest but felt God wanted us in St. Joe. We believe that He gave us a sign to come here and we followed His will. KHBC had a need for an elder and the church asked that the congregation pray for the right person to come forward & accept the position. I prayed continually about the need, and asked the Lord to make it known if I was that right person He had in mind. After some discussion and prayer with Pastor Keith I answered the call and have received many blessings from it. Susan and I were married in 1982 after meeting in college and have three adult children: Jessica, who now lives in Kirksville, MO, is the mother of our only grandchild, Emily, who is 5 years old and is a true joy to our lives. Jedidiah, aka Jed, serving our country in the US Navy, has just completed air traffic control school and is getting ready to do a tour on a brand new ship in the Navy's fleet. He is currently based in San Diego, CA. Tyler is finishing up school in ground & turf management & hopes some day to own his own business. He currently resides at our home and is working on a big project to bring world changers to St. Joe in 2010. Both Susan and I come from Christian families and were raised in Christian homes. I was saved at age 12 at church camp. I'm motivated by a challenge. We're very involved in the local chapter of Cowboys for Christ, and I preach from time to time at Cowboy Church services across the Midwest. I do love to read books of all kinds; currently I'm reading "Born Again" by Charles Colson, who was prosecuted for his involvement in the Watergate scandal and became a man of God. I'm also an announcer for various sporting events (mostly rodeos) and enjoy traveling across the Midwest meeting people and sharing the gospel whenever possible. |
