Presidents since George Washington have called for national days of prayer from time to time. Dwight Eisenhower established it as an annual event, and Ronald Regan affixed the date to the 1st Thursday in May. This year, May 6th, there are two public observances in here in St Joe for you.

During your lunch hour, noon-1 p.m., join us on the steps of City Hall (Frederick Blvd and Faron) to lift up the needs of our city, state, and country.

Later that evening at 7 p.m., a multi-church prayer and worship service will be hosted this year Grace Evangelical Church (Highway FF). Everyone is welcome to attend either or both events.

Whether or not you can make it, please do set aside some time on the 6th to intercede for our country, our state, and our city. Ask God to direct and protect. Ask Him to guide our leaders. Ask Him to graciously bring us back to Himself and be glorified in and through us. Recall the words of Scripture:

"If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7.14
