Hey, Kids! Grab your folks and let's have some fun this summer! Enjoy God's creation, learn more about Jesus, and, well, just get a load of this:
Sunday, June 5th is the annual church picnic at Sugar Lake (Lewis & Clark State Park) with games, swimming, and TONS of great food. The picnic starts in the mid-afternoon and runs until dusk. Dinner'll be served up around 5 p.m.
Saturday, June 18th at Miss Audrey's house is a summertime s'mores party from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 16th it's time to go roller skating @ B&J Skate on the North Belt between 4-6 p.m. The cost is $3 (with or without skate rental) but free passes will be available if there is a financial need. The bus will NOT be running so mom & dad need to drop you off & pick you up.
August 1st-5th, Monday-Friday, are the dates of this year's children's camp. Camp is for 4th through 6th graders (campers must have completed 4th grade to attend). Registration deadline ends June 10th; the cost is $100 per child (fundraisers and scholarships may be available; please speak with Miss Audrey for more details).

Sundays 10:15 - 11:30 a.m. kids 1st-6th grade have their own worship service while the adults are studying Scripture with Pastor Keith. Children will learn about Christ in many different ways:
Time Tent: (Coming soon) You'll step back in time in our Time Tent where the lesson goes beyond just hearing God’s word. We peer into days past, learning how the people lived, dressed, what they ate and even the tools used in biblical times.
Puppets are used in many ways. Not only do the little children get to watch the puppet shows, the 5th and 6th graders get to be the puppeteers. It's a blast for the kids, plus it trains them to be workers for God.
Theater Time: Yep, we have our own fully-equipped movie theater for children to watch videos about the journey of the life of Christ and all the Bible events.
"Now’s The Time" Café: Our café has great popcorn for movie time, and we serve snacks just about every service. Some of our lessons even include cooking time!
Role Play: We act out Bible stories in costume but the audience (the other children) tell the story while the kids act it out; if they get it wrong, we just rewind tell we get the story right.
NOTE: Children's church usually takes a break on the 1st Sunday of the month. Exceptions to this schedule will be noted. |
